How to apply and remove false lashes? A guide to wearing false lashes
It is no secret that false lashes add glamour to any look. They can be refilled in a beauty salon but this method is expensive, time-consuming and should be done on a regular basis. A simpler solution is an application of eyelash strips, however many women are still reluctant to try. In a salon, a professional eyelash artist attaches an individual synthetic lash to the wearer’s own. However, if you want to use the eyelash strips, there is no need to visit the salon as the application can be done at home – the eyelash strips need to be placed just over the upper eyelash line. So how to apply and remove false lashes? Are they safe and reusable? How to apply individual lashes and why we do it?
How to apply false lashes?
Before applying false lashes, it is important to darken the line just above the upper eyelid with a black or brown eyeliner. The next step is to apply a coat of mascara making sure there are no clumps and the lashes do not stick together. You can skip this step if you apply henna a day or two before the planned application.
The eyelash strip should be carefully removed from the lash tray. Gently take it out using your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
Then you need to measure up your lashes. Rest the strip along your lash line to check if you need to trim it to size. If you have to trim your lashes to fit, remember to do it from the outside edge, so the outer corner of your eye. It should start about 1-2 millimeters before the iris edge and end about 1-2 millimeters in front of the outer corner. Thanks to this, the lashes will be perfectly placed and there will be no discomfort during blinking.
When your false lashes are perfectly trimmed, it is time to apply a thin layer of glue. Wait about 30-50 seconds for it to go tacky before application. Remember to place the false lashes where your natural bulk of eyelashes begin and gently press. If there are any gaps, fill it in with a black eyeliner.
How to remove false lashes?
The glue used in the processes should become elastic enough to pull the eyelash strips off. Just peel them off with your fingernail or tweezers and gently pull them to the center of your eye. Wipe the lashes with a cleaning milk, two-phase makeup remover or olive to remove the remaining adhesive. Gently run the cotton pad over the lash band where it’s attached to your eyelid to help loosen the adhesive. If there is a thick layer of glue, you can try smearing Vaseline on your lashes . Never rip them off as you may take some of your precious natural lashes with them.
Are false lashes safe?
Both glue and false lashes can cause allergy and irritation, that is why people with sensitive eyes and allergy tendencies should be really careful. In addition, if your natural lashes are weak and easily fall out, wearing false eyelashes, even the lightest ones, can cause additional weight and can lead to the loss of eyelashes.
Are false lashes reusable?
False lashes can be reused provided that the adhesive remains are removed just after each use.The safest way to remove false lashes is with the use of a tweezers. It is also important to keep them in the original lash tray so that their proper shape is preserved.

More natural effect can be obtained with the use of individal false lashes. This method is more demanding but results in a more spectacular effect. It involves applying individual lashes to your eyelash line. How to do it? Just grab an individual lash with the tweezers, add some adhesive and put it between your natural lashes.
